What was once an abandoned property has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind retreat by two passionate social entrepreneurs, Christian Ras Hafeez Ekander and Luz Angela Echeverry. With dedication, heart, and a deep respect for nature, they have rebuilt this space using repurposed materials, embracing a circular economy while preserving the lush surroundings. Every tree and plant that first called this land home remains untouched, forming the soul of the property.
Our Story: A Dream Reimagined in Calpe
Our journey to create Surf House Calpe was fueled by our love for travel, surf culture, and holistic living. Having lived and worked across the globe—from Venezuela to Sweden, India to Hawaii—we’ve experienced firsthand the richness of human connection.
With backgrounds in hospitality, wellness, and sustainability, we wanted to build more than just a holiday home. We envisioned a space where like-minded travelers, digital nomads, and free spirits could come together to share experiences, embrace nature, and find balance.
Brick by brick, we’ve crafted this retreat by hand—with the support of friends, local artisans, and a community that believes in conscious living. Our home radiates a unique energy, enhanced by holistic rituals and gatherings that have left an imprint of positivity, harmony, and renewal on this 2000sqm natural oasis.

Luz Angela Echeverry – Gastronomist, Wellness Expert & PR Specialist
Hailing from Venezuela, Luz Angela brings a wealth of culinary expertise with her degrees in gastronomy and political science. As a holistic chef and consultant, she specializes in plant-based fusion cuisine, ayurvedic nutrition, and sugar-free alternatives. Beyond food, she is a wellness facilitator and PR specialist within the Surf House Calpe entrepreneur community, creating experiences that enrich both body and soul.
Christian Ras Hafeez Ekander – Surfer, Musician & Ocean Advocate
Born in India and Sweden, Christian has traveled the world, from Hawaii to Hong Kong, shaping his philosophy of "Mabuhay, Namaste, and Aloha"—a deep respect for nature, community, and mindfulness. A professional surfer, musician, and entrepreneur, he pioneered movements that have become global successes today. His work with Sea Shepherd’s Ocean Ambassador Program continues to inspire awareness and action for ocean conservation.
